New Special Needs List!

The new special needs shared list comes out January 18. I have one special friend who happens to have a bday that day and they are also hoping to be matched with a sweet baby girl. She might just have a wonderful bday surprise! :)

I will be posting just as soon as I hear about any of the children available!

Watch for posts next week!

Next week I will be posting about several children who are waiting for their forever families. There are so many now. The list grows every time it comes out. I know we can not find homes for every child but every day we can work to help find a home for as many as possible.

Also, be sure to watch for posts in the adoption groups from my friend Annie. She is starting a new blog to feature her Wonderful Waiting Kids.  She has been using her family's blog Cornbread and Chopsticks but will now have a beautiful new blog devoted to advocating for waiting children.

Beautiful Natalie/Sara still needs a family.  Her birthday is coming up in just a couple of weeks. Can you imagine the joy she would feel if she knew she had a family coming to bring her home in a few months?  She loves to dance and she is a wonderful little artist! I have seen her drawings and she is so talented! Natalie is no longer listed with Lifeline but she is on the special focus list.  Please email me at sharon.millender@gmail.com if you would like more information.

Do you know if Lizzie has a family?

I still haven't heard that Lizzie has a family and I just can't believe that this sweet, happy, energetic little girl is still waiting! She is not on the current shared list. Hopefully this means she has a family.  It could also mean she is on an agency list.  If anyone hears that Lizzie is on a list or has a family please let me know!

Hayden

Beautiful, sweet Hayden. She has watched most of her friends go home and she is still there. She loves to sing and dance and draw. She loves the color pink, flowers, having her nails painted, all things girly and taking care of the little ones at the facility. She loves babies! She really wants a mommy and a daddy to "love her and sing to her and cook her yummy foods". Her birthday is 10/14/2002.  Special needs: tumors on face, neurofibromatosis, low intelligence. She is from Henan.

There is a very generous family offering $5,000 that will be paid directly to the adoption agency of the family choosing  to adopt Hayden. They have a special place in their hearts for Hayden and would love to know that she has a family.  Won't you help us find a family for Hayden?

If you would like more information about Hayden please email me sharon.millender@gmail.com.

Henry

I just received an email asking me to advocate for Henry.
He is 11 years old and his special need is a mild problem with his lower left limb.
He is polite and helpful.
You can read more about Henry on the LWB blog.

Zack

This is a difficult post.  My husband has told me without a doubt that he is not ready to adopt right now. He feels like we need to pay down our debts first. He is adamant about this so all I can do is pray and follow his lead. We will be adopting again in the future but not right now.

This is "Zack".  He is the little boy who absolutely stole my heart.  I would love to hide him away and keep his file safe so that he will be there when my husband is ready to move forward.  But I can't do that.  I care about this little boy too much to make him wait.  He deserves the love of a family.

His file is on the shared list. He is not listed with any agency that I know of.  His birthday is November 13, 2007. His special need is Spina Bifida (repaired) and club foot (repaired by Ponsetti method).  He lives in Amazing Hands Foster Home in Beijing where he is loved and cared for by a Chinese American lady. There are many wonderful videos of him walking, running and climbing up and down stairs.  He has the sweetest little voice. He is potty trained.

If you are interested in viewing Zack's file please contact your agency.  Xiaoqing at BAAS was able to get his file for me to view.  She is wonderful!

If you or someone you know moves forward with bringing this much-loved little boy home please let me know.  He is special!  Can't you see it in the twinkle in his eyes??  :)

Lizzie

This is Lizzie.  She was one of the first older children to capture my heart.  I haven't been able to find out if she has a family.  I pray that she does by now.  She is on the shared list.  You can find more info on Lizzie here.
